Final weekend of Evangeline, the Queen of Make Believe: LA Weekly says “it’s a GO”!

Great reviews abound for “Evangeline, The Queen of Make Believe” which runs through this weekend. Broadway World calls the multimedia show a “delightful coming of age story”, full of joy, with Louis and David’s music as its “most glorious asset”.

The Multimedia presentation features the songbook of Hidalgo
and Perez, and is inspired by their song “Evangeline.”

Evangeline… a devoted daughter by day, a Hollywood go-go dancer by
night. The journey of self-discovery by a young Chicana, whose
neighborhood roots and make believe world collide when she experiences
the West Side art scene and the music of the Sunset Strip, is set
against the 1968 student walkouts in East L.A. and the flight for
equal education and civil rights.

After a nearly three year development process, Evangeline’s first theatrical run ends with a matinee performance on Sunday, May 27th in Los Angeles, CA, but the company hopes to tour other communities in the near future! For remaining dates and to purchase tickets visit the Bootleg Theatre’s ticket office.
