Los Lobos take a pretty serious turn on their upcoming album, “The Town and the City,” due Sept. 12. Produced by experimental guru Tchad Blake, it’s a more downbeat, poetic riff on the struggles of nomadic life, be it a rock band’s or an immigrant’s. Whether the East L.A. rock legends preview the disc or stick to their standards at these two zoo gigs, they’re always a sure bet for summer concerts.
